Salida Pedagógica: Integración, Retos y Aprendizaje Significativo

El pasado 30 de abril, los estudiantes de 6º grado, acompañados por sus docentes, realizaron una salida pedagógica a la Escuela Militar José María Córdova, donde fueron recibidos por un teniente y varios alféreces que los guiaron durante todo el recorrido. Conocieron espacios emblemáticos de la institución, como la biblioteca, los campos deportivos y otras áreas clave del campus.

Los estudiantes participaron de forma voluntaria en distintos retos físicos y competencias informales de atletismo, eligiendo aquellas actividades con las que se sentían más cómodos. Como los tres cursos de 6º estuvieron mezclados durante toda la jornada, valoraron especialmente la oportunidad de compartir con compañeros de otros grupos, fortaleciendo la integración, el compañerismo y el sentido de pertenencia.

Además, desarrollaron habilidades sociales fundamentales como el trabajo en equipo, la empatía y la resolución asertiva de conflictos. Frente a los desafíos, se animaron y apoyaron mutuamente, demostrando en la práctica los hábitos constructivos y las virtudes deportivas promovidas por el proyecto I am an Olympian.

Durante los momentos de refrigerio y almuerzo, aplicaron los hábitos de sostenibilidad del colegio: separaron adecuadamente los residuos, cuidaron los espacios utilizados y se aseguraron de dejar el lugar limpio y sin huella de carbono.

Fue un día lleno de aprendizajes significativos y experiencias enriquecedoras que ampliaron sus horizontes más allá del aula, integrando lo académico, lo físico y lo ético en una vivencia inolvidable.

Field Trip: Integration, Challenges, and Meaningful Learning

On April 30th, 7th grade students, accompanied by their teachers, went on an educational field trip to the José María Córdova Military School. They were welcomed by a lieutenant and several cadets who guided them throughout the visit. Students explored key areas of the institution, such as the library, sports fields, and other important campus spaces.

They also voluntarily participated in physical challenges and informal running competitions, choosing the activities they felt most comfortable with. As students from all three 7th grade classes were mixed throughout the day, they especially appreciated the chance to interact with peers from other groups, strengthening integration, friendship, and a sense of community.

Throughout the day, they developed essential social skills like teamwork, empathy, and assertive conflict resolution. When the challenges became difficult, they encouraged and supported one another enthusiastically, putting into practice the constructive habits and athletic virtues promoted by the I am an Olympian project.

During snack and lunch times, they also practiced the school’s sustainability habits: they sorted waste properly, took care of the spaces used, and ensured they left the area clean and carbon-neutral.

It was a day full of meaningful learning and enriching experiences that broadened their horizons beyond the classroom, integrating academics, physical activity, and ethical action into an unforgettable experience.
