In Natural & Environmental Science, our Fourth graders have been studying how rocks are formed and transformed by weathering, erosion and deposition, to shape the Earth’s surface. To better understand the effects of weathering and erosion, we carried out an experiment in which we observed what happens to rocks when they are submitted to mechanical weathering, and what happens when they are weathered by water.
