Chain of Command / Conducto Regular
Should any problem and/or difficulty arise with any teacher, the chain of command is the following:
Teacher > Family Coordinator / Mentor > Relations Director > Principalship > Educational Community Committee or Governing Council.
En caso de presentarse un problema y/o dificultad con algún docente, el conducto regular es el siguiente:
Docente > Coordinador / Mentor de Familia > Director de Relaciones > Rectoría > Comité de Convivencia o Consejo Directivo
Schedule / Horario
Once we are back physically at school, Friday will be the short day. Please find below the timetables for each level during Home Learning. For UE, MS & HS, session 6 on Fridays will be used by students for individual work.
Una vez se impartan clases presenciales en el colegio, el día corto será el día viernes. Les adjuntamos los horarios que tendremos en todos los niveles durante Aprendizaje en Casa. La sesión 6 de Primaria Alta, Escuela Media y Bachillerato Alto estará dedicada a trabajo autónomo e independiente por parte de los estudiantes.
School Store FonRochester / Tienda Escolar FonRochester FonRochester service hours are: Fridays through Saturdays, from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Parents who acquire textbooks and school supplies online through the web page and who request door-to-door delivery service, will receive, together with their order, the material available from “Bibliobanco” (imported books). Taking into account that not all imported books have arrived, parents will need to collect the missing materials on the dates submitted last week by the Principalship. El horario de atención de FonRochester es todos los días, de viernes a sábado, de 9:00 a.m. a 4:00 p.m., incluyendo los sábados. Los padres de familia que adquieran los textos y útiles a través de la página y soliciten el envío a domicilio, recibirán junto con su pedido el material disponible del Bibliobanco (libros importados). Teniendo en cuenta que no todo el material del Bibliobanco ha llegado, los padres de familia necesitarán recoger el material faltante, en el campus del Colegio, de acuerdo con las fechas enviadas por Rectoría la semana pasada. Biosafety Protocol / Protocolo de Bioseguridad
Rochester School´s Biosafety Protocol establishes procedures, routines and measures to maintain and promote sanitary safety of students and adults (workers, vendors, parents and authorized visitors) at its facilities during the pandemic generated by the COVID-19 coronavirus, in accordance with the protocols and guidelines established by the National Government of Colombia. Such protocol covers several biosafety-related topics such as disinfection, hygiene, entry and exit, flows, transport vehicles, occupation, events, service hours, access restrictions and infrastructure modification, amongst others.

El Protocolo de Bioseguridad del Colegio Rochester establece procedimientos, rutinas y medidas para mantener y promover la seguridad sanitaria de los estudiantes y adultos (trabajadores, proveedores, padres de familia y visitantes autorizados) en sus instalaciones durante la pandemia generada por el coronavirus COVID-19, de acuerdo con los protocolos y lineamientos del Gobierno Nacional de Colombia. Este protocolo cubre varios temas relacionados con la bioseguridad, tales como desinfección, higiene, ingreso y salida, flujos, vehículos de transporte, ocupación, eventos, horarios de atención, restricciones de acceso y modificación de la infraestructura, entre otros.

Transport / Transporte
We confirm that the transport service will be provided door-to-door through our alliance with TESCOTUR. This company uses an application they developed which allows georeferencing, thus facilitating the possibility for parents to monitor the buses and report any new development. Since it is an in-house application, we will be able to make the necessary adjustments in accordance with our procedures. We will strictly follow the biosafety procedures established by both TESCOTUR and Rochester School.
Confirmamos que el servicio de transporte se prestará puerta a puerta a través de nuestro aliado TESCOTUR. Esta empresa utiliza una aplicación desarrollada por ellos mismos que permite la georreferenciación, facilitando así a los padres de familia el monitoreo de las rutas y el reporte de las novedades. Al ser una aplicación in-house, vamos a poder realizar los ajustes necesarios de acuerdo con nuestros procedimientos. Seguiremos de manera muy estricta los procedimientos de bioseguridad establecidos tanto por TESCOTUR, como por el Colegio Rochester.
Food Service / Servicio de Alimentación

We will continue with the same supplier for recharges of student ID badges, PAYGO. Students will continue using their ID badge for purchases at the Snack Bar.
El Servicio de Alimentación estará a cargo nuevamente del Colegio Rochester. Cualquier inquietud por favor comunicarse con Adriana Bermúdez abermudez@rochester.edu.co
Continuaremos con el proveedor que teníamos para las recargas del carné estudiantil, PAYGO. Los estudiantes seguirán usando su carné para comprar en el Snack Bar.
BYOD Program / Programa BYOD
Taking into account that the enrollment process needs to be carried out physically on site, this program will begin in September. Anyway, the BYOD team is analyzing different alternatives to make this a virtual process. Once we have more information, we will let you know. As part of the enrollment process, 4th grade students will have their gmail institutional e-mail address. Once the BYOD process begins, the ScreenGuide parental control will be enabled.
Teniendo en cuenta que el proceso de enrolamiento lo necesitamos realizar de manera presencial, este programa iniciará en el mes de septiembre. De todas maneras, el equipo de BYOD, está revisando diferentes alternativas para mirar la posibilidad de hacer este enrolamiento de manera virtual. Una vez tengamos mayor información, les estaremos contando. Como parte del proceso de enrolamiento, los estudiantes de 3º tendrán su correo institucional de gmail. Una vez inicie BYOD, el control parental ScreenGuide quedará activado.

Taking into account that mass events are currently forbidden by the National Government, first communion ceremonies will probably be rescheduled for the next school year. We will keep you informed.
Teniendo en cuenta que los eventos masivos están prohibidos en este momento por el Gobierno Nacional, las primeras comuniones las realizaremos muy probablemente el próximo año escolar. Les estaremos avisando de manera oportuna.
