Prekindergarten students have been learning about different types of weather. Each week they have been exploring different weathers through movement, songs, arts and crafts. Students have been learning the song Itsi Bitsi spider through dance, games and role plays, where they have used vocabulary related to weather, and body expressions to demonstrate their knowledge. Through their work in Real world English and EM3 classes they have created a rainy day scene with Itsi Bitsi. They have used their fine motor skills to cut, paste and draw the different parts of the spider’s body and the sun. Finally, using a straw and blue-inked water, students have created a rainy day scene where they had lots of fun exploring different materials, textures and learned about weather. At the end they had the opportunity to join in a circle meeting to sing the song again, but this time, sharing their work with their friends.
Los estudiantes de Prejardín han estado aprendiendo sobre los diferentes tipos de clima. Cada semana exploran un tipo de clima diferente a través del movimiento, canciones y manualidades. Los estudiantes han estado aprendiendo la canción Itsi Bitsi Spider a través del baile, juegos y actuación, donde han tenido la oportunidad de usar el vocabulario relacionado con el clima y movimientos corporales para demostrar su conocimiento. A través de las clases “Real World English” y EM3, los estudiantes han creado una escena de un día lluvioso con Itsi Bitsi Araña. Lograron usar sus habilidades motoras para cortar, pegar y dibujar las diferentes partes de la araña y el sol. Finalmente, usando un pitillo y agua mezclada con colorante, han creado una escena de lluvia, donde tuvieron la oportunidad de divertirse explorando diferentes materiales y texturas. Al final, tuvieron la oportunidad de reunirse en un círculo para cantar de nuevo la canción, esta vez compartiendo sus trabajos con sus amigos.
