Colegio Rochester, orgulloso de su participación en GMUN XII

El pasado domingo 27 de septiembre, cerramos nuestra participación en GMUN XII con un enorme sentimiento de orgullo y gratitud.


El Colegio Rochester, que participó en esta duodécima edición del Modelo de Naciones Unidas del Colegio Colombo Gales con entusiasmo, compromiso y dedicación, recibe con gran alegría las numerosas distinciones y reconocimientos otorgados por la Junta Directiva de GMUN XII y las directivas del Colegio Colombo Gales.


Nuestro colegio se lleva a casa importantes reconocimientos que reflejan el talento, la preparación, la dedicación y el compromiso de cada uno de los 17 integrantes de esta maravillosa delegación. Estamos profundamente orgullosos de cada uno de ellos y de los logros alcanzados durante este modelo.


Como jefe de delegación, Juan Luis Quintero U., y como sponsor del Colegio Rochester, Rubén Giovanni Ildebrando Arévalo, estamos convencidos de que nuestros estudiantes seguirán construyendo un camino lleno de aprendizajes, experiencias y nuevos logros.


Nuestra delegación estuvo conformada por estudiantes que participaron en los comités PNUMA, WHO, GAE, Comité Filosófico, Corte Internacional de Justicia (CIJ), Congreso de la República y Gabinete Adjunto de Crisis (GAC).

* Mejor Delegada de World Health Organization (WHO): Renata Bernal Pérez, como delegada de Alemania.

* Mejor Delegado de Gabinete Adjunto Electoral: Juan Luis Quintero U., representando a Álvaro Uribe Vélez.

* Mejor Delegada de Gabinete Adjunto de Crisis – Bando Iron Man: María Victoria Díaz, representando a Pantera Negra.

* Mejor Delegada de Gabinete Adjunto de Crisis – Bando Capitán América: Camila Rojas Ariza, representando a Falcon.

* Mejor Delegado del Comité Filosófico: Simón Etra Hincapié, representando a Søren Kierkegaard.

* Segunda Delegada Sobresaliente de Gabinete Adjunto de Crisis: Valentina Quintero Álvarez, representando al Soldado del Invierno.

* Segunda Delegada Sobresaliente de la Corte Internacional de Justicia: Samantha Landaeta, como abogada de Venezuela.

* Mención de Honor del Congreso de la República: Sebastián Camacho, representando a María José Pizarro.


También queremos destacar la participación de nuestros estudiantes de otros grados:


* Felipe Toledo, de Sexto D, como delegado de WWF en PNUMA.

* Valentina Sarmiento, de Octavo Grado, como delegada de Colombia en WHO.

* Filippa Ramírez, de Octavo Grado, representando a Álvaro Leyva Durán en el Gabinete Adjunto Electoral.

* Magdalena Vásquez, de Octavo Grado, representando a Jean-Paul Sartre en el Comité Filosófico.

* Juan Pablo Lineros, de Octavo Grado, como abogado de Estados Unidos en la Corte Internacional de Justicia.

* Mariana Torres, de Octavo Grado, representando a Iván Cepeda en el Congreso de la República.

* Martín Rodríguez Carvajal, de Undécimo Grado, representando a Bruja Escarlata en el Gabinete Adjunto de Crisis.

Una oportunidad internacional


Nos llena de especial orgullo anunciar que tres de nuestros delegados, quienes fueron reconocidos entre los cuatro mejores delegados de todo el modelo, recibieron el derecho de participación otorgado por GlobalMUNers para participar en una experiencia en Nueva York.


Este reconocimiento constituye una oportunidad extraordinaria para nuestros estudiantes y es también un motivo de orgullo para toda nuestra comunidad educativa.


Felicitamos de corazón a cada uno de nuestros delegados, a sus familias y a todos quienes hicieron posible esta experiencia. Cada debate, cada intervención, cada investigación y cada desafío enfrentado durante estos días representa una oportunidad de aprendizaje y crecimiento.


Presentamos estos logros con enorme amor, gratitud y orgullo a toda nuestra comunidad Rochester.

Colegio Rochester proudly celebrates its participation in GMUN XII

Last Sunday, September 27, we concluded our participation in GMUN XII with an overwhelming sense of pride and gratitude.


Colegio Rochester participated in the twelfth edition of the Model United Nations Conference hosted by Colegio Colombo Gales with enthusiasm, commitment, and dedication. We are delighted to celebrate the numerous distinctions and recognitions awarded by the GMUN XII Board and the leadership team of Colegio Colombo Gales.


Our school returns home with important recognitions that reflect the talent, preparation, dedication, and commitment of each of the 17 members of this wonderful delegation. We are deeply proud of every one of them and of the achievements they accomplished throughout the conference.


As Head Delegate, Juan Luis Quintero U., and Rochester Sponsor, Rubén Giovanni Ildebrando Arévalo, we are confident that our students will continue building a path filled with learning, meaningful experiences, and new achievements.


Our delegation was made up of students who participated in the following committees: UNEP, WHO, GAE, Philosophical Committee, International Court of Justice (ICJ), Congress of the Republic, and Crisis Cabinet (GAC).

An international opportunity


We are especially proud to announce that three of our delegates, who were recognized among the four best delegates of the entire conference, received the opportunity, granted by GlobalMUNers, to participate in an experience in New York.


This recognition represents an extraordinary opportunity for our students and is also a source of pride for our entire educational community.


We wholeheartedly congratulate each of our delegates, their families, and everyone who made this experience possible. Every debate, speech, research effort, and challenge they faced during these days represents an opportunity for learning and growth.


We proudly share these achievements with our entire Rochester community, with immense gratitude and affection.
