Mariana Pineda Bonilla, exalumna del Colegio Rochester (Promoción 2020), pertenece a una generación que entiende la comunicación como una herramienta capaz de generar bienestar, fortalecer comunidades y movilizar cambios significativos. Comunicadora Social y Politóloga en formación en la Universidad Javeriana, Mariana ha construido una trayectoria orientada al propósito, con experiencia en marketing digital, gestión de comunidades y creación de contenido con sentido humano.
Su recorrido refleja el sello que dejó en ella el Colegio: liderazgo desde el interior, trabajo colaborativo y una profunda sensibilidad para comprender las realidades de los demás. Los principios de salud integral y autoconocimiento que vivió durante su formación continúan guiando su manera de trabajar y relacionarse con el mundo.
Recientemente, Mariana escribió un relato íntimo sobre su hermano Santiago, una persona neurodivergente cuya conexión con el fútbol se ha convertido en una forma única de expresión, identidad y bienestar. En su texto, reconoce el valor de las diferencias cognitivas y la importancia de construir entornos verdaderamente inclusivos basados en la empatía, la escucha y el respeto.
Este ejercicio narrativo se convirtió también en un punto de partida para compartir su propia historia como exalumna: su recorrido académico, los aprendizajes que marcaron su crecimiento y la huella que dejó en ella el Colegio en su manera de ver el mundo y liderar con propósito. Mariana es un ejemplo del impacto de formar personas conscientes, capaces de trabajar en equipo y actuar desde una sólida brújula interior.

Mariana Pineda Bonilla, a 2020 graduate of Rochester School, is part of a generation that understands communication as a tool capable of generating well-being, strengthening communities, and driving meaningful change. A Social Communicator and Political Science student at Javeriana University, Mariana has built a purpose-driven path with experience in digital marketing, community management, and intentional content creation.
Her career reflects the imprint the School left on her: leadership from within, collaborative work, and a deep sensitivity to understand the realities of others. The principles of holistic health and self-knowledge she experienced throughout her education continue to guide the way she works and engages with the world around her.
Recently, Mariana wrote an intimate piece about her brother Santiago, a neurodivergent person whose connection to soccer has become a unique form of expression, identity, and well-being. Her text highlights the value of cognitive diversity and the importance of building truly inclusive environments grounded in empathy, listening, and respect.
This narrative exercise also became an opportunity to share her own story as an alumna: her academic journey, the lessons that shaped her growth, and the lasting mark the School left on her worldview and her purpose-driven leadership. Mariana exemplifies the impact of educating conscious individuals who can collaborate, lead from their inner compass, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
