Descubriendo un lugar especial

En el mundo existen lugares especiales donde las personas buscan calma, oran y reflexionan. Nuestro colegio tiene la fortuna de contar con uno de ellos: la Capilla, un espacio que invita al silencio y al encuentro interior. Los estudiantes de Prekínder la visitaron por primera vez con curiosidad, respeto y mucha emoción.

Durante esta experiencia, los niños y niñas comprendieron que estar en un lugar de oración implica ciertos cuidados: hablar en voz baja, mantener el orden y la limpieza, tratar con respeto los objetos y símbolos, y adoptar una postura atenta que favorezca la escucha y la oración. Poco a poco, fueron descubriendo que el silencio también comunica y que en la tranquilidad se puede sentir paz.

Este primer acercamiento no solo fortaleció valores como el respeto y el cuidado, sino que también abrió la puerta a vivencias espirituales significativas para su edad. La visita culminó con cantos y oraciones compartidas, en un ambiente de alegría y recogimiento que dejó en cada niño una huella especial.

Discovering a special place

In the world, there are special places where people seek calm, pray, and reflect. Our school is fortunate to have one of these: the Chapel, a space that invites silence and inner connection. The Pre-Kindergarten students visited it for the first time with curiosity, respect, and great excitement.

During this experience, the boys and girls understood that being in a place of prayer involves certain forms of care: speaking softly, keeping the space clean and orderly, treating objects and symbols with respect, and maintaining an attentive posture that encourages listening and prayer. Little by little, they discovered that silence also communicates and that peace can be felt in moments of calm.

This first encounter not only strengthened values such as respect and care, but also opened the door to meaningful spiritual experiences for their age. The visit concluded with shared songs and prayers in an atmosphere of joy and reflection that left a special mark on each child.
