Rochester recibe a líderes educativos de Latinoamérica en una experiencia de aprendizaje e innovación

Una visita que nos permitió compartir cómo la tecnología, la pedagogía y el liderazgo se integran para transformar las experiencias de aprendizaje.

Hoy, el Colegio Rochester abrió sus puertas a 20 líderes educativos de Latinoamérica que hicieron parte del Apple Education Leadership Experience LATAM 2026, una experiencia diseñada para conocer de primera mano cómo se vive la innovación educativa en una Apple Distinguished School.

Para nosotros, recibirlos fue mucho más que compartir nuestros espacios. Fue una oportunidad para mostrar, desde nuestra propia experiencia, cómo entendemos el papel de la tecnología dentro de la educación: no como un fin en sí mismo, sino como una herramienta que amplía las posibilidades de aprender, crear, colaborar y resolver problemas.

Apple reconoce a las Apple Distinguished Schools como centros de liderazgo y excelencia educativa que cuentan con una visión clara sobre cómo los entornos tecnológicos apoyan los objetivos de aprendizaje y que trabajan bajo una cultura de innovación continua.

Durante la visita, nuestros invitados pudieron acercarse a diferentes experiencias y conocer cómo nuestros estudiantes y profesores integran la tecnología en sus procesos de aprendizaje.

La verdadera innovación educativa no está únicamente en contar con dispositivos o plataformas. Está en qué hacemos con ellos y para qué los utilizamos.

Está en una estudiante que crea, en un equipo que encuentra soluciones, en un profesor que diseña nuevas experiencias, en una pregunta que abre posibilidades y en un aprendizaje que trasciende las paredes del aula.

La integración intencional de la tecnología permite crear nuevas oportunidades para el aprendizaje y favorecer experiencias más personales, creativas y colaborativas. Este es precisamente uno de los principios que hacen parte del enfoque de Apple Distinguished Schools.

Compartir también es aprender

Uno de los mayores valores de este encuentro estuvo en la posibilidad de conversar con líderes que, desde diferentes contextos educativos de Latinoamérica, están buscando nuevas maneras de responder a los desafíos de la educación.

Porque innovar también significa abrir las puertas, compartir lo que hacemos y estar dispuestos a aprender de otros.

Como comunidad educativa, nos llena de orgullo que nuestro colegio sea un espacio elegido para estas experiencias de liderazgo y aprendizaje profesional. El propio programa Apple Distinguished Schools contempla las visitas escolares y el intercambio entre líderes como oportunidades para compartir experiencias y mostrar procesos de innovación educativa.

Una experiencia que refleja quiénes somos

La visita de hoy nos recuerda que la calidad educativa se construye todos los días: en nuestras aulas, en nuestros proyectos, en las decisiones de nuestros profesores, en las preguntas de nuestros estudiantes y en nuestra capacidad como comunidad para seguir aprendiendo.

Ser una Apple Distinguished School representa un reconocimiento a un camino de innovación continua, pero también un compromiso: seguir evolucionando para ofrecer experiencias de aprendizaje relevantes, significativas y conectadas con las necesidades del mundo.

Rochester Welcomes Educational Leaders from Latin America for a Learning and Innovation Experience

A visit that allowed us to share how technology, pedagogy, and leadership come together to transform learning experiences.

Today, Colegio Rochester opened its doors to 20 educational leaders from across Latin America who took part in the Apple Education Leadership Experience LATAM 2026, an experience designed to provide a first-hand look at how educational innovation comes to life in an Apple Distinguished School.

For us, welcoming them was about much more than sharing our spaces. It was an opportunity to showcase, through our own experience, how we understand the role of technology in education: not as an end in itself, but as a tool that expands opportunities to learn, create, collaborate, and solve problems.

Apple recognizes Apple Distinguished Schools as centers of leadership and educational excellence with a clear vision of how technology-rich environments support learning goals and foster a culture of continuous innovation.

At Colegio Rochester, this vision naturally aligns with our educational approach. We believe in an education that prepares our students to understand an ever-changing world while empowering them to take an active role in shaping it.

Technology at the Service of Learning

During the visit, our guests had the opportunity to experience different learning environments and discover how our students and teachers integrate technology into their learning processes.

True educational innovation is not simply about having devices or platforms. It is about what we do with them and why we use them.

It can be seen in a student who creates, a team that finds solutions, a teacher who designs new learning experiences, a question that opens up new possibilities, and learning that extends beyond the walls of the classroom.

One of the greatest values of this experience was the opportunity to engage in conversations with leaders from different educational contexts across Latin America who are exploring new ways to respond to the challenges facing education today.

Because innovation also means opening our doors, sharing what we do, and being willing to learn from others.

As an educational community, we are proud that our school has been chosen as a space for leadership and professional learning experiences of this kind. The Apple Distinguished Schools program itself promotes school visits and exchanges among educational leaders as opportunities to share experiences and showcase innovative educational practices.

Today's visit reminds us that educational quality is built every day: in our classrooms, through our projects, in the decisions our teachers make, in our students' questions, and in our ability as a community to continue learning.

Today, we shared what we do.
