Somnium: Yo soñé que... Un sueño Colectivo Hecho Realidad

El pasado 31 de mayo, el Colegio Rochester fue el escenario de uno de los eventos artísticos más memorables del año: Somnium: Yo soñé que..., un espectáculo que reunió el talento, la creatividad y la pasión de más de 300 estudiantes, respaldados por un equipo interdisciplinario comprometido con la excelencia y el arte.

Con tres funciones impecables, el espectáculo dejó una huella profunda en todos los asistentes. Desde la escenografía hasta la iluminación, desde cada nota musical hasta cada movimiento escénico, todo fue testimonio del poder del trabajo colectivo y del impacto transformador del arte cuando se vive con disciplina, entrega y corazón.

Somnium no fue solo una obra. Fue un sueño hecho escena, una travesía emocional que unió a estudiantes, docentes, familias, artistas, técnicos y administrativos en un mismo propósito: crear belleza y transmitir un mensaje de esperanza, valentía y autenticidad. En cada número presentado se sintió el fruto de muchas horas de ensayo, la guía cuidadosa de los profesores, y la convicción de que el arte educa, inspira y transforma.

Este logro es, sin duda, motivo de orgullo para toda la comunidad Rochester. Porque Somnium no solo brilló por su estética y nivel artístico, sino porque nos recordó quiénes somos: una comunidad que cree en el potencial de sus estudiantes, que los acompaña con amor y rigor, y que entiende el arte como una forma esencial de aprendizaje y expresión.

Felicitamos a cada estudiante participante, al equipo del Centro Artístico, al equipo de Producción, a los profesores y colaboradores de todas las áreas que hicieron posible esta experiencia inolvidable. Gracias por soñar en grande, por dar lo mejor de ustedes, y por mostrarnos que cuando unimos talentos, propósitos y emociones, los sueños no solo se cumplen: se celebran en comunidad.

On May 31, Rochester School became the stage for one of the most memorable artistic events of the year: Somnium: I Dreamed That..., a breathtaking production that brought together the talent, creativity, and passion of over 300 students, supported by an interdisciplinary team fully committed to excellence and the power of the arts.

With three extraordinary performances, the show left a lasting impression on everyone who attended. From set design to lighting, from every musical note to every movement on stage, Somnium was a testament to the power of collective work and the transformative impact of art when lived with discipline, dedication, and heart.

Somnium was more than a play. It was a dream brought to life, an emotional journey that united students, teachers, families, artists, technicians, and staff under a single purpose: to create beauty and share a message of hope, courage, and authenticity. Every scene reflected countless hours of rehearsal, the careful guidance of teachers, and the deep conviction that art educates, inspires, and transforms.

This achievement is undoubtedly a source of pride for the entire Rochester community. Because Somnium not only shone with its artistic excellence, but also reminded us of who we are: a community that believes in the potential of its students, that supports them with love and rigor, and that sees art as an essential path to learning and self-expression.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to every student performer, the Arts Center team, the Production team, the teachers, and all collaborators from every area who made this unforgettable experience possible. Thank you for dreaming big, giving your all, and showing us that when talents, purpose, and emotion come together, dreams don’t just come true—they are celebrated together.
