AP de Dibujo: Un Nuevo Camino Creativo

Título del proyecto: ¿Y si dibujar fuera también una forma de encontrarnos?

Este año continuamos con la propuesta del programa AP de Dibujo con estudiantes de décimo y undécimo grado. Después del éxito obtenido con la estudiante que culminó el proceso el año pasado, iniciamos nuevamente este camino lleno de retos, aprendizajes y descubrimientos personales.

El AP de Dibujo es más que un curso: es un viaje creativo y académico en el que cada estudiante se enfrenta al desafío de construir un portafolio sólido que refleje tanto su desarrollo técnico como sus intereses personales y artísticos. A través de ejercicios de exploración, investigación y creación, los estudiantes comienzan a identificar temas significativos que les permiten profundizar en su trabajo y generar propuestas originales.

Como primer paso, cada estudiante preparó un video de reflexión personal, en el que comparte sus motivaciones, búsquedas y preguntas iniciales: ¿qué tema elegir?, ¿qué los inspira?, ¿qué conexiones encuentran con su vida, con la historia del arte o con su entorno? Estos registros evidencian su compromiso con el proceso creativo, su capacidad de análisis y su disposición a asumir las exigencias que implica un programa de este nivel.

El AP no solo requiere talento y disciplina, sino también una mirada crítica y reflexiva que permita construir un discurso visual propio. A lo largo del año, los estudiantes estarán desarrollando obras que expresen su pensamiento y sensibilidad, al tiempo que conectan sus producciones con referentes artísticos, culturales y sociales.

Estamos entusiasmados por acompañar a esta nueva generación de artistas en formación, seguros de que el proceso los llevará a descubrir nuevas posibilidades para su arte y para sí mismos.

AP Drawing: a new creative path

Project Title: What if drawing were also a way of finding ourselves?

This year we continue with the AP Drawing program with 11th and 12th grade students. After the success achieved with the student who completed the process last year, we once again embark on this journey full of challenges, learning, and personal discoveries.

AP Drawing is more than a course: it is a creative and academic journey in which each student faces the challenge of building a solid portfolio that reflects both their technical development and their personal and artistic interests. Through exploration, research, and creation exercises, students begin to identify meaningful themes that allow them to deepen their work and generate original proposals.

As a first step, each student prepared a personal reflection video, in which they share their motivations, explorations, and initial questions: What theme should I choose? What inspires me? What connections can I find with my life, with art history, or with my surroundings? These reflections reveal their commitment to the creative process, their analytical skills, and their willingness to take on the demands of a program at this level.

AP requires not only talent and discipline but also a critical and reflective perspective that enables the construction of a personal visual discourse. Throughout the year, students will develop works that express their thinking and sensitivity while connecting their productions with artistic, cultural, and social references.

We are excited to accompany this new generation of artists in training, confident that the process will lead them to discover new possibilities for their art and for themselves.
