Arte en las alturas: talento Rochesteriano en el festival aéreo

El pasado jueves, cinco estudiantes del programa de Telas Aéreas de Alto Desempeño del Colegio Rochester tuvieron el honor de representar a nuestra comunidad en el Festival Aéreo del Gimnasio Femenino, un encuentro artístico que reúne talento joven en torno a la danza aérea y las artes escénicas.

Con una presentación llena de sensibilidad, fuerza y belleza, nuestras estudiantes llevaron al escenario una coreografía inspirada en la vida y el espíritu de Frida Kahlo, en un homenaje que integró arte, emoción y expresión corporal en las alturas. A través del movimiento en las telas, lograron transmitir la resiliencia, la intensidad y la profundidad artística que caracterizaron a esta gran figura del arte latinoamericano.

La presentación fue una experiencia verdaderamente significativa, no solo por la calidad técnica de las intérpretes, sino también por la manera en que lograron conectar con el público y narrar una historia desde el aire, con valentía, elegancia y pasión.

Queremos hacer un reconocimiento especial a Indira Cáceres y Camilo Pachón, quienes estuvieron a cargo de la creación y dirección de esta coreografía. Su dedicación, creatividad y sensibilidad artística hicieron posible que esta propuesta cobrara vida y que nuestras estudiantes brillaran en el escenario.

Este tipo de experiencias nos recuerdan que el arte tiene el poder de elevar, inspirar y visibilizar lo mejor de nuestros estudiantes. Una vez más, queda claro que la comunidad artística del Colegio Rochester sigue creciendo con fuerza, sensibilidad y talento.

Gracias a nuestras artistas por llevar en alto el nombre del colegio y por recordarnos que, cuando el talento se une con la pasión, el resultado siempre es extraordinario.

Art in the air: Rochester talent at the aerial festival

Last Thursday, five students from Colegio Rochester’s High Performance Aerial Silks Program had the honor of representing our community at the Aerial Festival hosted by Gimnasio Femenino, an artistic event that brings together young talent in aerial dance and the performing arts.

With a performance full of sensitivity, strength, and beauty, our students presented a choreography inspired by the life and spirit of Frida Kahlo—a tribute that blended art, emotion, and physical expression in the air. Through their movements on the silks, they conveyed the resilience, intensity, and artistic depth that defined this iconic figure of Latin American art.

The performance was a truly meaningful experience, not only because of the performers’ technical quality, but also because of their ability to connect with the audience and tell a story from above with courage, elegance, and passion.

We would like to extend special recognition to Indira Cáceres and Camilo Pachón, who led the creation and direction of this choreography. Their dedication, creativity, and artistic sensitivity made it possible for this piece to come to life and for our students to shine on stage.
