Carolina Aguirre Gutiérrez — Promoción 1996: Desnudar el Alma para Volverla a Vestir

Desde sus días como estudiante en el Colegio Rochester, Carolina Aguirre Gutiérrez se destacó en los escenarios artísticos y deportivos. “Estuve en casi todos los equipos, excepto baloncesto”, recuerda entre risas. Su paso por el colegio no solo fortaleció su amor por la danza, el canto y el arte, sino que también afianzó una formación integral basada en valores como el trabajo en equipo, el respeto y la autenticidad.

Hoy, Carolina es diseñadora de modas, directora de vestuario para cine y televisión, escritora y conferencista. Bajo su marca personal Carolina Aguirre G, lidera el proyecto Desde Adentro, una experiencia transformadora que invita a las personas a “desnudar el alma para volverla a vestir”. Su propósito es claro: ayudar a otros a descubrir su autenticidad y reflejarla a través de la ropa, concebida como una segunda piel que nace desde el alma.

“Mi camino ha sido un viaje hacia lo más profundo de mí misma, una búsqueda interior que me llevó a convertirme en experta en lo que hago”, afirma. Su libro Desnuda: un retiro con tu ser se convirtió en best seller y ha inspirado múltiples charlas sobre autenticidad, expresión personal y bienestar emocional.

El colegio fue clave en su desarrollo: “Recuerdo con inmenso cariño a Iliana en danza y a Helman en deportes. Ellos vieron en mí lo que yo aún no podía ver. Me ofrecieron espacios sin juicio, donde pude expresarme y encontrar fuerza en mis talentos”.

Carolina destaca también el valor de la amistad como una de las semillas más profundas que germinó en su paso por el Rochester. “A mis 47 años, puedo decir que mis mejores amistades nacieron allí, y que el respeto por los dones del otro y la ausencia de juicio fueron aprendizajes fundamentales que me acompañan hasta hoy”.

Su mensaje a las nuevas generaciones es una invitación a detenerse, respirar y dejar de correr tras lo externo. “El verdadero logro es vivir desde adentro, desde el equilibrio, desde la consciencia de quiénes somos. Más que hacer, se trata de ser”.

Carolina Aguirre Gutiérrez — Class of 1996: Baring the Soul to Clothe It Anew

From her days as a student at Rochester School, Carolina Aguirre Gutiérrez stood out in both the arts and sports. “I was on almost every team, except basketball,” she recalls with a laugh. Her time at school not only nurtured her love for dance, singing, and art, but also strengthened a well-rounded education grounded in values such as teamwork, respect, and authenticity.

Today, Carolina is a fashion designer, costume director for film and television, writer, and speaker. Under her personal brand Carolina Aguirre G, she leads the Desde Adentro (From Within) project, a transformative experience that guides people in “baring their souls to clothe them again.” Her purpose is clear: to help others discover their authenticity and reflect it through clothing, envisioned as a second skin that comes from the soul.

“My path has been a journey into the depths of myself, an inner search that led me to become an expert in what I do,” she says. Her book Desnuda: un retiro con tu ser (Naked: A Retreat with Your Self) became a best seller and has inspired multiple talks on authenticity, personal expression, and emotional well-being.

The school was key to her development: “I remember Iliana in dance and Helman in sports with immense affection. They saw in me what I could not yet see. They offered me spaces free of judgment, where I could express myself and find strength in my talents.”

Carolina also highlights the value of friendship as one of the deepest seeds planted during her time at Rochester. “At 47, I can say that my best friendships were born there, and that respect for each other’s gifts and the absence of judgment were fundamental lessons that remain with me to this day.”

Her message to new generations is an invitation to pause, breathe, and stop chasing external achievements. “True achievement is living from within, from a place of balance and awareness of who we are. It’s more about being than doing.”
