Celebrando el Día Pi: un día de aprendizaje, ciencia y juego en transición

El pasado 17 de marzo, los estudiantes de Transición celebraron el Día Pi con entusiasmo y creatividad, viviendo una jornada llena de aprendizaje significativo. A través de diversas presentaciones, exploraron conceptos matemáticos como la representación de los números en diferentes formas, estrategias para sumar y restar, números pares e impares y fracciones.

Asimismo, integraron conocimientos de Ciencias Naturales al presentar temas como la alimentación saludable (My Plate) y la energía en el cuerpo. Como parte de esta experiencia, asistieron al Planetario Móvil, donde ampliaron su comprensión sobre el universo, el sistema solar y nuestro planeta.

La jornada también incluyó momentos especiales que enriquecieron el aprendizaje. Recibimos la visita de conejitos bebés, lo que dio lugar a la presentación From Bunnies to Rabbits, y doce estudiantes participaron en El Mundo del Ajedrez, explicando el tablero, así como los nombres, valores, símbolos y movimientos de las piezas.

Nos sentimos muy orgullosos de nuestros estudiantes, quienes dieron lo mejor de sí en cada actividad y disfrutaron de un día que integró el conocimiento, la curiosidad y la diversión.

Celebrating Pi Day: a day of learning, science, and play in First Grade

On March 17, First Grade students celebrated Pi Day with enthusiasm and creativity, experiencing a day full of meaningful learning. Through different presentations, they explored mathematical concepts such as number representation in various ways, strategies for addition and subtraction, even and odd numbers, and fractions.

They also integrated Natural Science topics, including healthy eating (My Plate) and energy in the body. As part of this experience, they attended the Mobile Planetarium, where they expanded their understanding of the universe, the solar system, and our planet.

The day also included special moments that enriched the experience. We welcomed baby bunnies, which inspired the presentation From Bunnies to Rabbits, and twelve students presented The World of Chess, explaining the board as well as the names, values, symbols, and movements of the pieces.

We are very proud of our students, who gave their best in every activity and enjoyed a day that combined knowledge, curiosity, and fun.
