Naturaleza e Impacto Humano: Explorando los Paisajes Naturales y Culturales

Con los niños y niñas de segundo de primaria estamos explorando los tipos de paisaje y las características de los paisajes naturales y culturales. Durante las clases, jugamos a reconocer los elementos naturales y artificiales que componen cada uno, y los estudiantes han logrado identificarlos y compararlos con mayor claridad.

Como ejercicio final, cada estudiante creó una imagen propia en la que representó ambos tipos de paisaje, comprendiendo que la integración de estos elementos conforma un solo lugar. Esta actividad permitió poner en práctica su creatividad y reflexionar sobre los efectos de la intervención humana en distintos entornos. Además, respondió a la necesidad de libertad de cada estudiante, ya que pudieron elegir qué lugar representar y qué elementos incluir en su creación.

Así, surgieron playas, selvas y bosques acompañados de casas, puertos y edificios, lo que nos permitió reflexionar sobre los cambios que experimentan los paisajes y las responsabilidades que tenemos frente a ellos. Concluimos resaltando la importancia de ser resilientes y sostenibles para proteger los elementos naturales, sin perder de vista la capacidad humana de transformar e innovar.

Nature and Human Impact: Exploring Natural and Cultural Landscapes

With our third-grade students, we have been exploring different types of landscapes and the characteristics of natural and cultural environments. During class, students engaged in activities to recognize the natural and human-made elements that compose each type of landscape, successfully learning to identify and compare them.

As a culminating activity, each student created their own illustration representing both types of landscapes, understanding that together these elements form a single place. This exercise encouraged creativity while helping students reflect on the effects of human intervention in different environments. It also responded to their need for freedom, as they were able to choose the place they wanted to represent and the elements they wished to include.

The results included beaches, jungles, and forests combined with houses, ports, and buildings. These creations allowed us to reflect on how landscapes change over time and on the responsibilities we share in caring for them. We concluded by highlighting the importance of resilience and sustainability in protecting natural environments while recognizing the human capacity for transformation and innovation.
