¡Nos llegó la hora! Utopía: donde lo Imposible se hace Posible

Pensar en la utopía es atreverse a imaginar otros mundos posibles. Es cuestionar lo dado, soñar colectivamente y confiar en que el arte tiene la capacidad de transformar la realidad. Bajo el tema Utopía: donde lo imposible se hace posible, el Festival UNCOLI de Artes Visuales – Bachillerato invita a reflexionar sobre los retos del mundo contemporáneo y sobre aquellas visiones de futuro que surgen del pensamiento crítico, la sensibilidad y la creatividad de los jóvenes.
Desde esta perspectiva, las obras presentadas no entienden la utopía como un lugar inalcanzable, sino como un motor creativo que impulsa preguntas, activa la imaginación y propone nuevas formas de habitar el mundo. Durante el proceso, los estudiantes exploraron lenguajes visuales contemporáneos, materiales diversos y narrativas que dialogan con temas como la identidad, la sociedad, el medio ambiente y la esperanza. Cada pieza es el resultado de procesos pedagógicos rigurosos, sensibles y profundamente conectados con las realidades y sueños de nuestros estudiantes de bachillerato.
Esta edición del festival cuenta con la participación de once instituciones: Campoalegre, Hacienda Los Alcaparros, Gimnasio Vermont, Colegio Anglo Colombiano, Gimnasio La Montaña, Colegio Colombo Gales, San Bartolomé La Merced, Fundación Nuevo Marymount, Colegio Los Nogales, Colegio Italiano Leonardo Da Vinci y el Colegio Rochester. La diversidad de miradas enriquece el diálogo visual y convierte esta muestra en un espacio de encuentro y aprendizaje interinstitucional.
Con orgullo, el Colegio Rochester es sede del Festival UNCOLI de Artes Visuales – Bachillerato, que se llevará a cabo del 9 al 23 de febrero. Invitamos a toda la comunidad a recorrer la exposición, dialogar con las obras y celebrar el arte como una experiencia formativa esencial, donde imaginar lo imposible es siempre el primer paso para hacerlo realidad.
The Time Has Come! Utopia: Where the Impossible Becomes Possible

To think about utopia is to dare to imagine other possible worlds. It means questioning what is given, dreaming collectively, and trusting in art’s power to transform reality. Under the theme Utopia: Where the Impossible Becomes Possible, the UNCOLI Twelfth Grade Visual Arts Festival invites students to reflect on the challenges of the contemporary world and on the future visions that emerge from their critical thinking, sensitivity, and creativity.
From this perspective, the artworks presented do not treat utopia as an unreachable place, but as a creative force—one that sparks questions, activates the imagination, and proposes new ways of inhabiting the world. Throughout the process, students explored contemporary visual languages, experimented with diverse materials, and developed narratives connected to themes such as identity, society, the environment, and hope. Each piece is the result of rigorous and thoughtful pedagogical work carried out in our upper school visual arts classrooms.

With great pride, Colegio Rochester is hosting the UNCOLI Twelfth Grade Visual Arts Festival, held from February 9 to February 23. We warmly invite our community to visit the exhibition, engage with the artworks, and celebrate art as an essential formative experience—one where imagining the impossible becomes the first step toward making it possible.
