Un Comienzo Especial y un Vínculo Significativo

El pasado viernes celebramos un momento muy especial en el Rochester. Nuestros estudiantes de Pre-Kínder fueron cálidamente recibidos por los Seniors de la Clase 2025–2026 en una actividad conmovedora que marcó el inicio de un vínculo significativo.

A lo largo del año, nuestros Seniors actuarán como "hermanos mayores" y "hermanas mayores", apoyando y guiando a nuestros pequeños estudiantes durante diferentes eventos y actividades escolares. En este primer encuentro, los estudiantes tuvieron la oportunidad de conocerse, jugar juntos y crear árboles simbólicos del vínculo, donde cada niño agregó la huella de su mano como una hoja—representando el inicio de un camino compartido.

Esta reunión fue una hermosa representación de comienzos y finales—nuestros estudiantes de Pre-Kínder iniciando su aventura escolar, y nuestros Seniors preparándose para su último año. Estamos agradecidos de dar la bienvenida a nuestras nuevas familias a la comunidad escolar, y también agradecidos por el espíritu de la Clase 2025–2026.

A special beginning and a meaningful bond

Last Friday, we celebrated a very special moment at our school. Our Pre-Kindergarten students were warmly welcomed by our Seniors from Class of 2025–2026 in a heartwarming activity that marked the beginning of a meaningful connection.

Throughout the year, our Seniors will serve as “big brothers” and “big sisters,” supporting and guiding our youngest learners during various school events and activities. During this first meeting, students had the chance to get to know each other, play together, and create symbolic “bond trees,” where each child added their handprint as a leaf—representing the start of a journey together.

This gathering was a beautiful reflection of beginnings and endings—our Pre-K students just starting their school adventure, and our Seniors preparing for their final year. We are grateful to welcome our new families to the school community, and equally thankful for the spirit of the Class of 2025–2026.
